Surgeon scrub caps for long hours in theatre

Our surgeon scrub caps are handmade fabric theatre caps for surgeons, anaesthetists, scrub nurses, operating department practitioners and everyone else on the theatre team. Washable and reusable, they bring a little colour to long operating lists.
Every cap is one size and adjustable, with the head circumference in centimetres on each product page, so you know exactly what you’re ordering.
Double fastening for hair that stays put

If your hair is long or thick, the Dorothea scrub cap for long hair has a double fastening: elastic at the nape gathers your hair, and ties at the back let you set the fit. It measures 59 cm at rest, stretching to 67 cm, and it’s 12 cm high, with room for a bun.
For short hair, the Camilo bandana scrub cap also combines elastic at the nape with ties, and adjusts from 54 to 70 cm.

The Henderson tie-back scrub cap has short ties and an open back, and adjusts from 50 to 67 cm. The Zendal slips on with an elastic at the nape (53 cm at rest, up to 64 cm), with nothing to tie.

Your name on your cap

As an option, add your name, your specialty or both, on two lines: your name with ‘Anaesthetics’ or ‘Orthopaedics’ underneath, for example. It makes your cap easy to spot in the changing room.

Which scrub cap should I choose for long operations?
If your hair is long or thick, the Dorothea, with its double fastening of elastic at the nape plus ties at the back. For short hair, the Henderson and the Camilo let you set the fit with ties, and the Zendal has nothing to tie.
Can I wear a fabric scrub cap in theatre?
Rules vary between hospitals and departments, so always follow your workplace’s policy. Our caps are machine washable and reusable, an alternative to disposable caps wherever fabric caps are allowed.
What head circumference do the caps fit?
They’re all one size and adjustable: the Dorothea fits 59 to 67 cm, the Henderson 50 to 67 cm, the Zendal 53 to 64 cm and the Camilo 54 to 70 cm. Most adult heads measure between 54 and 58 cm.
Can I have my name and specialty embroidered?
Yes, as an option: your name, your specialty or both, on one or two lines. Add the text in the ‘Personalisation’ section of the product page.
How do I wash my scrub cap?
Machine wash at up to 30 °C, no bleach, and air dry.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Each item is handmade within 4–5 working days of your order and then sent as a tracked parcel. Delivery times and costs for your country are shown at checkout; to France, Italy, Germany and the rest of the EU (except Bulgaria), delivery takes 5–7 working days and is free on orders over €90; to mainland Portugal, 1–3 working days and free over €60; to Madeira and the Azores, 3–6 working days and free over €90.
