Scrub caps for long hair: the Dorothea

The Dorothea is our scrub cap for long hair. It’s roomier than a standard cap, so all your hair fits inside, bun included.

Its double fastening combines elastic at the nape with ties at the back that you adjust to your head, so your hair stays gathered under the cap.

Dimensions: 59 cm head circumference at rest, stretching to 67 cm, and 12 cm high. One size, adjustable.

In theatre and beyond

A roomy cap is the usual choice in theatre when your hair is long or thick, and it works just as well at the dental surgery, the veterinary practice or the clinic.

Like all our caps, it’s unisex and comes in a wide range of fun prints and plain fabrics.

Satin-lined versions for curly hair

Some Dorothea caps come with a satin lining: the fabric glides over your hair and helps reduce friction and frizz. Handy if you follow the Curly Girl Method.

Will my hair stay in place?

That’s what the double fastening is for: the elastic at the nape gathers your hair and the back ties adjust the cap to your head.

What head circumference does it fit?

59 cm at rest, stretching to 67 cm thanks to the elastic and ties, and it’s 12 cm high. It’s one size and adjustable.

Is there a satin-lined version?

Yes, some prints come satin-lined for curly hair: look for ‘Satin-Lined’ in the product name.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash at up to 30 °C, no bleach, and air dry.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Each item is handmade within 4–5 working days of your order and then sent as a tracked parcel. Delivery times and costs for your country are shown at checkout; to France, Italy, Germany and the rest of the EU (except Bulgaria), delivery takes 5–7 working days and is free on orders over €90; to mainland Portugal, 1–3 working days and free over €60; to Madeira and the Azores, 3–6 working days and free over €90.
